My Journey

I’m a storyteller with over twenty years of experience spanning design, strategic communications, and interpretive storytelling. I help turn ideas into purposeful narratives that connect people with places, knowledge, and each other across exhibitions, visitor experiences, digital platforms, and campaigns. My work brings together strategy, narrative design, and creative delivery, supported by strong technical skills in research, design, and digital tools.

I thrive in collaborative, community-focused environments and believe in the power of storytelling to deepen understanding, spark curiosity, and inspire meaningful change.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me in the garden, spending time with family, or listening to paleoanthropology podcasts. I’m endlessly curious and always learning, drawing inspiration from both ancient history and everyday life. Like growing plants, my career has been shaped by seasons of experimentation, growth, and joy.

“I grow plants for many reasons: to please my eye or to please my soul, to challenge the elements or to challenge my patience, for novelty or for nostalgia, but mostly for the joy in seeing them grow.”

– David Hobson

20+ years

Graphic Design and Visual Storytelling
With a foundation in communication design, I create print, digital, and spatial storytelling that is both visually compelling and purposeful. Whether developing a brand, exhibition, or interpretive environment, I design with the audience in mind, balancing creativity with clarity and meaning.

10+ years

Strategy, Brand and Experience Leadership
I’ve led projects, shaped strategies, and developed narrative frameworks that connect people with ideas, places, and organisations. My work spans cultural, community, and commercial settings, always focused on turning concepts into engaging, human-centred experiences.

5+ years

Interpretation and Digital Engagement Working across museums, conservation, and cultural spaces, I develop exhibitions, interpretive content, and digital storytelling that make complex knowledge accessible and engaging. Whether designing a gallery experience, interpretive signage, or an online platform, I bring a people-first mindset to every project.
